Terms of Service

Last updated · May 3, 2026

RaiseUp is a small, lovingly-built service for families with college-bound kids. By using it, you're agreeing to the terms below. We've kept them plain, professional, and brief — because clarity matters more than legalese.

What RaiseUp is

RaiseUp is a digital experience that helps parents and their college-bound child stay meaningfully connected through the transition to college. The free Connection Portrait is available now. Additional features (Bucket List, Memory Nest, Rise Notes, Launch Day ceremony, and The New Chapter) launch on Mother's Day, May 10, 2026.

RaiseUp is operated by an individual based in California, USA. By using RaiseUp, you confirm that you are 13 years of age or older. Users under 18 should have a parent or guardian's permission.

Using RaiseUp

You agree to use RaiseUp for its intended purpose — connecting with your family. You agree not to:

If you violate these terms, we may suspend or terminate your access without notice.

Your content

Your questionnaire answers, names, and any other information you provide remain yours. You retain full ownership. We use your content solely to operate RaiseUp on your behalf, as described in our Privacy Policy.

You grant RaiseUp a limited, non-exclusive license to store, process, and display your content for the purpose of providing the service to you and your family.

Our content

The RaiseUp brand, name, logo, design, copy, code, and the Connection Portrait algorithm and output are the intellectual property of RaiseUp. You may not copy, redistribute, or commercially use them without permission.

You're welcome to share your own Connection Portrait privately with friends and family — that's the whole point.

Service availability

RaiseUp is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do our best to keep the service available, secure, and accurate, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted access or error-free operation. We may update, modify, or discontinue features at our discretion.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, RaiseUp and its operator are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim relating to RaiseUp is limited to the amount you paid us in the previous twelve months (which, for the free Connection Portrait, is zero).

Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms occasionally. When we do, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top. Material changes will be communicated by email to active users. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of California.
